Noah Blocker-Glynn, Artistic Director, completed his undergraduate degree in music at Plymouth State University (NH) and recently received his Masters in Choral Conducting from the University of Hartford—The Hartt School. In 2005, Noah had his conducting debut with the National Tour of Beethoven’s Wig, and in 2007 was featured as the first-ever Guest Student Conductor of the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra. He has served as Conductor of the Ninth State Youth Dance Theater and Orchestra, as well as the Sgt. Katherine E. Brunelle Memorial Concert Orchestra in New Hampshire, bringing orchestral music to the rural setting, including world premiere performances of compositions and collaborations with award-winning soloists. He is responsible for the commissioning and performance of over 25 new works in the choral and orchestral genres. Noah recently served as Music Director for the Shoreline Chorale (CT) and is founder, Artistic Advisor and past Music Director of Celesti Sondato, The Hartt School Community Division’s auditioned adult chamber choir. In addition to his artistic work, Noah is the Director for the University of Hartford—The Hartt School Community Division, the region’s leading Music and Dance preparatory school. Noah currently lives in Simsbury, CT with his husband and their beautiful baby daughter!
Barbara Robbins delights in making music with musicians of many genres and ages. She holds a position as staff accompanist for the Vocal Department at the University of Hartford, keeping a busy schedule of lessons, recitals, and recordings. Concurrently, she regularly accompanies two area choirs, the West Hartford Women's Chorale, and Primi Voci of the Connecticut Children's Chorus, while playing occasional rehearsals and performances for professional organizations such as Concora, the New Haven Chorale, and Connecticut Concert Opera. She teaches private piano lessons in the central Connecticut region. Barbara enjoys teaching children's music classes, as group gatherings build character and a sense of community. She is keenly interested in the music and Vedic knowledge of India. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Music degree on a full scholarship from the University of Connecticut in Storrs.
