The Tapestry of Voices program weaves a diverse array of selections to spice up the concert routine with favorites like the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah and exciting works like Daniel Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata. The chorus will also feature Haydn’s Missa Brevis accompanied by a full brass choir, Philip Kern’s Mary Had a Baby, and Jake Runestad’s Nyon, Nyon – a piece designed to imitate a vocal orchestra complete with wah wah pedals, synthesizers, drums and bass. The GNHCC Chamber Choir is also on the program and set to perform one of Morton Lauridsen’s six Italian madrigals and Sleep by well-known American composer, Eric Whitacre. The concert will be under the direction of Noah Blocker-Glynn with Barbara Robbins as the piano accompanist. Tapestry of Voices Dec 2016 Poster (pdf)
