Project Community

Last fall, the Greater New Haven Community Chorus made the leap into Project Diversity, creating a virtual chorus video of the song “This Is Me” by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul from the film “The Greatest Showman,” and arranged by Mac Huff. Project Community will build on the energy and connections of Project Diversity and will celebrate the very thing that makes GNHCC so wonderful — our community. Musical selection to be announced.
We meet every Thursday, 7- 8:15 pm. Our director leads us through a mix of discussion, listening to music, learning our parts, and learning how to make and upload our individual videos to be compiled into the virtual chorus. We will provide digital resources, including sheet music, practice tracks, and video tutorials for producing and uploading your virtual chorus part. You will make your own video (or as many videos as you want, if you would like to sing more than one part!) to be included in our virtual choir. If you don’t want to make a video, that’s fine, too. We have enjoyed seeing old friends – some from other parts of the world – and meeting new singers. It’s about community, as well as about the music.
