Greater New Haven Community Chorus to Host Art Auction
New Haven, CT – July 27, 2015 – Greater New Haven Community Chorus will host an art auction on Friday evening, September 18th at The Commons Great Room, 75 Washington Avenue in Hamden, CT. The auction will feature art in all media and price ranges.
A preview of the art works begins at 7:00 PM, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The auction will begin at 8:00 PM. The event will also include door prizes, a silent auction and entertainment—and will conclude with a dessert reception. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple and are available from GNHCC members or at www.gnhcc.org.
The auction will be conducted by art auctioneers from Marlin Art, the oldest fundraising art auction company in the Northeast. The experienced Marlin auctioneers create a comfortable, low-pressure atmosphere, putting even the most inexperienced bidders at ease. Proceeds from the event will benefit Greater New Haven Community Chorus (501c3). GNHCC is a non-auditioned, all-volunteer chorus of approximately 100 voices committed to making quality music accessible and approachable for audiences and members alike, always striving to ‘build community one note at a time’ through music.
Selections presented for bid at the Greater New Haven Community Chorus Art Auction may include works by:
